Donetsk, Dec 22 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have violated the ceasefire on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic twice over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire twice expending 21 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Fire was delivered at the Shakhty 6/7 settlement area on the Gorlovka axis. The enemy employed 82mm and 120mm mortars and RPG and SPG grenade launchers, the JCCC said.

The JCCC also recorded explosions at Ukrainian army positions in the Vodyanoye village area north of Donetsk and in the Leninskoye village area.

Earlier reports on Tuesday said that Ukrainian forces, after the expiration of the 24-hour reporting period in the morning, fired 120mm mortars at the DPR on the Gorlovka and Mariupol axes.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire three times.

The package of Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
