Donetsk, May 26 - DAN. Ukrainian forces deployed self-propelled howitzers Gvozdika, 122mm, and towed howitzers next to the Vesyoloye village west of Donetsk and the Zachatovka settlement in southenr Donbass, the Donetsk People’s Republic militia reported on Tuesday.
“Our intelligence continues to record the deployment of Ukrainian armed formations’ hardware in settlements in Ukraine-controlled territory, which threatens civilians’ life and health,” the report said. “Over the past 24 hours, a 122mm self-propelled howitzer Gvozdika, 122mm and two infantry fighting vehicles were spotted in Vesyoloye, and seven towed Lyagushka howitzers, 122mm, and six Gvozdika howitzers, 122mm, in Zachatovka.”
Ukrainian forces also deployed four infantry fighting vehicles, four armoured personnel carriers, four armoured vehicles and three air defence missile systems “Osa” in the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Verkhnetoretskoye, Kalinovo, Starognatovka, Mirnoye, Pionerskoye, Taramchuk and Lebedinskoye, according to DPR intelligence reports.
The hardware deployed next to residential houses belongs to Ukrainian army’s 10th and 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigades and 54th Separate Mechanised Brigade, the DPR People's Militia said.*jk
