Donetsk, May 6 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at the outskirts of the Vesyoloye village in northern Donetsk on Thursday, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

"The enemy opened fire at 16:00,” the report said. “Six 82mm mortar rounds were fired at the area and small arms were also used."

Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled Peski settlement area. No casualties or damage were immediately reported.

The Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC have ignored the DPR’s request to establish ceasefire by employing the coordination mechanism, the DPR Office said.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
