Donetsk, Sep 9 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations used heavy artillery on Thursday to shell the Vasilyevka settlement outside Yasinovataya, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.
The enemy began to deliver fire at 7:40 from the Verkhnetoretskoye settlement area using 122mm artillery. Twenty-four rounds of ammunition were expended. No casualties or damage reports were immediately available.
Vasilyevka accommodates a pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbassky water duct, an important facility that supplies water to customers on both sides of the contact line.
Earlier on Thursday, the DPR Office at the JCCC reported mortar strikes at western Donetsk. On Wednesday, Ukrainian armed formations shelled Donetsk’s Kievskiy district wounding two civilians and damaging a house and infrastructure of the Zasyadko colliery.*jk
