Donetsk, Jul 4 — DAN. Ukrainian forces fired more than 450 shells on the DPR on Monday, twice as many as on Sunday, killing four and injuring 15.

Here are the key events so far on Monday, July 4.

Fighting and victims

First explosions of the enemy’s rounds sounded in the DPR at 6 a.m.

The enemy used Grad MLRS, artillery and mortars including 155 mm NATO systems, to target Donetsk, Makeyevka, Yasinovataya, Gorlovka, and numerous neighbouring townships.

Four people were killed by Ukrainian shelling, 15 others injured.

Fourteen houses sustained damage, power supply to 20 transformer sub-stations was cut off, leaving 321 customers without electricity.

DPR Defence together with Russian forces destroyed three of the enemy’s Grad MLRS, three trucks and more than 60 personnel. 

Russia’s Aerospace Forces destroyed nine command centres of the Ukrainian army in the occupied Artyomovskiy district.

Russian fighter jet downed Ukrainian Su-25 in an air battle over Yasnaya.

Ukrainian command has lost control of retreating units of the 10th mountain assault brigade, 72nd and 115th mechanized  brigades and 118th territorial defence brigade.

Humanitarian situation

The All-Russia People’s Front (ONF) has delivered 21 mln rouble worth military aid to the DPR troops, including quadcopters, walkie-talkies, binoculars, thermal imagers, sights, night vision devices, batteries, medicines, as well as uniforms, body armour, helmets, and other necessary equipment. 

Offices of the DPR Central Bank have extended working hours in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Elenovka, now they are open 9 a.m. — 4 p.m. Earlier, they cut operational hours due to an unstable security situation.

Student teams will assist in restoring the Saur-Mogila memorial destroyed in 2014 fighting. The “Russian Student Teams” project kicks off July 9.

Power supply is now restored in Polnoye, Olginka outside Volnovakha.

The Ministry of Social Policy has accepted almost 640 applications for pensions and social benefits from residents of liberated townships.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, who personally reported to the Supreme Commander-in -Chief on the situation in Donbass and summed up the results of the special operation to liberate the LPR.

The defence of a British mercenary sentenced to death, Aiden Aslin, has appealed the verdict.
