Donetsk, Jan 9 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the Christmas ceasefire announced on December 29, 2018 more than 30 times expending 173 shells, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.

"From December 29 to January 8, 34 violations by the Ukrainian side were recorded. The total number of shells fired is 173, or 2.7 ammunition boxes, or 0.14 tons."

Over this period, four mortar shells of 120 mm and 82 mm caliber were fired.
One house was damaged.

The Contact Group endorsed a renewed "Christmas" ceasefire in Donbass in effect from December 29, 2018 1:01 a.m. GMT+3. *ot
