Donetsk, Apr 21 - DAN. Military experts have determined the type of ammunition fired by Ukrainian gunmen at Shakhtyorsk on April 20, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“The enemy used “Smerch” multiple rocket launchers firing four missiles from their positions in the Svetlodarsk settlement area,” the report said. Supposedly, they targeted the Shakhtyorsk oil depot.

Immediately after the strike on Wednesday, reports said that it could have been a Tochka-U tactical missile.

On April 20 evening, burning fragments of Ukrainian ammunition fell on a densely-populated neighborhood in Shakhtyorsk starting a fire in the single family residential area next to the central market. A child was killed and four civilians were wounded including another child. The strike also damaged houses and cars. *jk
