Donetsk, Jan 31 - DAN. Ukrainian servicemen shelled the Alexandrovka neighbourhood in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district damaging a house, local administration head Konstantin Chaliy told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“Yesterday, from around 17:00 till 23:00, Ukrainian army units shelled Alexandrovka damaging the house at 79 Shevchenko Str where an elderly couple lives,” Chaliy said. “The strike damaged windows and walls.”
The place that came under fire is being examined, he added. Preliminary reports said that an unspecified number of other houses in Shevchenko and Gorky Streets had been damaged as well.
A team of the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination went to the scene to obtain evidence of the aftermath of the shelling.
Over the past 24 hours, Kiev forces violated the ceasefire 12 times firing more than 120 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas. On January 30, a house burnt down as Ukrainian army units shelled the Kominternovo village in southern DPR.*jk
