Donetsk, Feb 25 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have violated the ceasefire four times over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations have violated the indefinite ceasefire four times expending 45 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. (The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics - eds Donetsk News Agency).

The enemy used infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms. Fire was delivered at the areas of the Alexandrovka and Yelenovka settlements on the Donetsk axis and the ourskirts of the Kominternovo and Leninskoye villages on the Mariupol axis, the JCCC said.

Earlier reports said that a house and a transmission line in Yelenovka had been damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces.

JCCC monitors also reported two explosions during engineer works in the Ukraine-controlled Talakovka settlement area outside Mariupol.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units opened fire at DPR areas ten times.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
