Donetsk, Apr 5 - DAN. Five Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen have been killed and another 22 have been wounded over the past 24 hours, DPR People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Tuesday.

“We regret to inform that in the past 24 hours, five DPR defenders were killed and 22 were wounded in the line of duty,” Basurin said.

He conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the killed servicemen.

The enemy has been suffering more significant losses though. Reports in the morning said that the DPR militia had killed 78 Ukrainian gunmen over the past 24 hours.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine. On the same day, DPR and LPR forces began to liberate the occupied areas of Donbass. *jk
