Donetsk, Apr 19 - DAN. The civilians wounded in the crossing point area near Donetsk were hurt in Ukrainian sniper fire, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said.
“Today, Ukrainian forces opened sniper fire at the crossing point wounding three civilians,” Yakubov said.
The victims were two women from Makeyevka and Gorlovka and a man from Starobeshevo, he added.
Earlier reports said three civilians had been wounded as the crossing point west of Donetsk came under fire.
The people were crossing into the Donetsk People’s Republic on foot from Ukrainian territory, according to the DPR military. The victims were rushed to hospital. One of the women suffered a gunshot hip fracture and lost much blood.*jk
