Donetsk, May 29 – DAN. Eight servicemen defected the 92nd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces which was behind the Krasnogorovka (located in Kiev-control territory) shelling, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin.
"Our intelligence reports that within the last three days eight servicemen of the 92nd brigade which holds positions outside Donetsk abandoned their units. "
The defected are being searched with the help of servicemen of the 22nd separate mechanized infantry battalion Kharkov of the 92nd brigade. Basurin said Azov fighters and Ukraine's Security Service were also looking for the defected soldiers.
Krasnogorovka, west of Donetsk, has lately been heavily shelled. Civilians have been wounded, households damaged. Following the events DPR Command launched an investigation which showed that the 92nd brigade was behind the attacks, including friendly fire on Azov regiment. *ot
