Donetsk, Dec 6 - DAN. DPR representatives at the final Contact Group meeting this year on 20 December will suggest a new ceasefire accord for the period of New Year holidays, DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin told reporters on Wednesday.

“Of course, we have to negotiate a ceasefire, we intend to talk about a new truce,” Pushilin said. “It will certainly have a new name suggesting New Year and Christmas holidays,” he said. “I wouldn’t make it a point though because cessation of hostilities is the most important thing.”

DPR will also lobby the issue of the presentation of ceasefire control documents by Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Pushilin said that the conflicting parties should have an equal approach to meeting their ceasefire commitments. He noted the importance of the publication of ceasefire orders and the search for and punishment of truce violators. *jk
