Donetsk, Mar 10 – DAN. DPR People's Militia opened retaliatory fire three times over the past 24 hours as Ukrainian forces targeted DPR populated areas, the People's Militia said.
"To provide civilian security, DPR defenders were forced to open retaliatory fire three times using weapons that are not banned under the Minsk Agreements. They targeted firing positions (of the Ukrainian army). People's Militia suppressed firepower of 15th, 16th batallions of 58th brigade and destroyed a BMP-2 of the 28th brigade, which shelled Staromikhailovka."
People's Militia pointed out that it targeted firing positions located far from civilian infrastructure.
Enemy's casualties have not been specified.
Kiev forces shelled the DPR on Wednesday evening. Ten AGS rounds were fired at 5.55 p.m. in the direction of Yakovlevka outside Yasinovatay; ten mortar rounds of 120 mm caliber were fired in the direction of Kominternovo in southern DPR at 6.20 p.m.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
