Donetsk, Dec 19 - DAN. The DPR office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination is ready to work as usual and conduct dialogue with OSCE Special Monitoring Mission representatives and Ukraine, despite Russia’s suspending its JCCC activity, head of the DPR office at JCCC Ruslan Yakubov told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“We state our readiness to continue our work as usual, fulfil the commitments we have undertaken towards control and coordination of the security situation on the contact line within the framework of the Minsk agreements and conduct dialogue both with representatives of OSCE SMM and Ukraine at JCCC,” Yakubov said.

He noted that several days before, the Russian officers at JCCC passed the contacts of the DPR JCCC representatives to OSCE SMM officials for future interaction.

On Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia would withdraw its representatives from JCCC because of Ukraine’s actions. DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin said Russia’s withdrawal from JCCC would worsen the communication with Kiev over a peaceful settlement of the Donbass conflict. Earlier on Tuesday, the Russian officers left DPR territory.

The Joint Centre for Control and Coordination was set up to monitor the implementation of the Minsk Agreements. Its functions included interaction with the conflicting parties and OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, settlement of disputes over implementation of the Minsk Agreements and assistance in implementing them. It also participated in negotiations concerning Minsk-2 accords. *jk
