Donetsk, Dec 28 – DAN. Kiev forces shelled DPR frontline territories 533 times over the last 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
“Despite the silence regime Kiev fighters violated the ceasefire 533 times over the last 24 hours," Basurin said.
Ukrainian forces fired 103 82mm and 120mm mines and 371 grenade launcher rounds. They also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms.
According to the DPR Command, the enemy targeted Trudovskiye, Aleksandrovka west of Donetsk, Shirokaya Balka and Zaitsevo villages outside Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Krasniy Partizan, Leninskoye, Sakhanka, Oktyabr and Kominternovo in Novoazovskiy district in DPR south, Grigorovka of Telmanovskiy district.
"First Kiev claims that DPR increased the number of provocations, then it intensifies fire on all axis on the New Year's eve," Basurin said.
A ceasefire was agreed by the Contact Group at its meeting on December 21st, in effect from midnight December 24th Kiev time – 1 a.m. December 24th DPR time.*ot
