Donetsk, Aug 4 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired at the Donetsk People’s Republic three times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.

Ukrainian servicemen used small arms and grenade launchers to fire at the areas of the Zaitsevo and Dolomitnoye settlements on the Gorlovka axis and the outskirts of the Novolaspa village on the Mariupol axis, the report said.

Over the past 24 hours, five more violations of the additional ceasefire control measures in Donbass were recorded, namely enemy engineering works next to the Kiev-controlled Opytnoye and Starognatovka settlements and explosions at Ukrainian armed formations’ positions near the Novotroitskoye and Shumy settlements and on the Ozeryanovka-Troitskoye axis, the JCCC said.

Earlier reports said that Kiev had been blocking the operation of the Donbass ceasefire control mechanism.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force on July 27, 2020. A ban is imposed on the use of any armaments, including small arms by Ukraine, the DPR and the LPR and any offensives including the deployment of hardware to the frontline, mining and further organizing  of positions.*jk*pp
