Donetsk, Jul 4 - DAN. DPR security officers on Tuesday prevented an act of terror planned by Ukrainian saboteurs, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said.
“Today, an act of terror by Ukrainian secret services has been prevented in Donetsk thanks to our citizens’ vigilance,” Basurin said. “Local residents found a remotely-controlled explosive device in a residential sector near the food industry college in Schorsa Street at 9:00 a.m. The bomb was defused.”
Supposedly, the bomb had to explode in morning hours. The terrorist attack was planned ahead of the Minsk talks on 5 July and the G-20 summit.
“According to our intelligence, it is not the only terrorist attack planned by Ukrainian secret services in the runup to the G20 meeting. We have evidence confirming that Ukrainian authorities ordered to carry out bloody provocations in the period until 9 July, including in Kiev-controlled territory, with the view of discrediting DPR leadership,” the deputy commander said.
Ukrainian secret services have engaged in active terrorist activity in Donbass. On Tuesday, Lugansk Media Centre reported that LPR State Security Ministry officers defused a mine planted by Ukrainian saboteurs along the route of a OSCE Special Monitoring Mission motorcade.*jk
