Donetsk, Feb 14 - DAN. Kiev’s statements alleging DPR forces’ strikes at Ukrainian army units positioned at the so-called Svetlodarsk salient, Debaltsevo area, are not true to the facts, DPR Operations Command said on Wednesday.
“The press service of the headquarters of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” disseminated misinformation on DPR strikes at Ukrainian occupants in Svetlodarsk salient area with 122m artillery,” the Operations Command said in a statement. “DPR forces are fully committed to the ceasefire.”
The DPR Operations Command views such statements as Ukraine’s information provocation in the runup to Minsk talks and a pretext for shelling DPR territory in the future.
Earlier, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said that a group of Ukrainian reporters had arrived at Novoluganskoye settlement north of Debaltsevo to shoot propaganda footage.
The next round of Donbass peace talks will take place in Minsk on 14 February.*jk
