Donetsk, Aug 24 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic once over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire once expending six rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
Fire was delivered at the Vesyloye village on the Donetsk axis. The enemy used 120mm mortars. No civilian casualties or damage to civil infrastructure were reported over the designated period.
“Ukraine ignored the DPR’s attempts at the JCCC to use the coordination mechanism to quickly establish a ceasefire,” the DPR Office said.
In the previous reporting period, Kiev army units fired at DPR areas twice.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
