Donetsk, Apr 14 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen have killed 68 Ukrainian gunmen over the past 24 hours, DPR People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, our servicemen killed 68 Ukrainian nationalists and destroyed two infantry fighting vehicles, one tank and three load carriers,” Basurin said. “Two 122mm self-propelled howitzers 2S1 “Gvozdika” and one IFV were captured.”
Reports on Wednesday said that Russian troops destroyed the headquarters of the Ukrainian army’s 128th Brigade near the Gulyaipole settlement area, which had delivered strikes at DPR civilians.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation aimed at demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. On the same day, the DPR and LPR militias supported by Russian forces began to liberate the occupied areas of Donbass. *jk
