Donetsk, Nov 8 - DAN. Ukrainian forces lost another unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which they had used to attack the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, said DPR People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov as he presented video evidence of the Ukrainian drone attack.

“The video stored on the memory card of the downed UAV clearly shows it heading towards a neighbourhood in the Mineralnoye settlement, acquiring a target and dropping a bomb,” Bezsonov said. “You can see the downed enemy UAV Phantom-4 with bomb racks.”

These UAVs are supplied to the Ukrainian military by volunteer organisations who never suspect that their equipment is used against Donbass civilians, he added.

On Wednesday evening, Ukrainian forces shelled the Mineralnoye neighbourhood outside Donetsk using an attack drone. The enemy UAV was shot down thanks to good teamwork of DPR militia’s air defence.

Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in 30km-wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum dated September 19, 2014, with the exception to OSCE SMM UAVs. Contrary to the agreement, Ukrainian forces regularly use UAVs for aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment.*jk
