Donetsk, Feb 13 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire more than 500 times over the past 24 hours; six Ukrainian Grad multiple launch rocket systems were spotted on southern Mariupol axis, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Monday.
“The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense. Kiev forces shelled DPR territory 509 times over the past 24 hours, using heavy artillery 36 times, tank guns four times, mortars 176 times, infantry fighting vehicle cannons 21 times, and anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms 272 times,” Basurin said.
Ukrainian army shelled Trudovskiye and Aleksandrovka villages west of Donetsk, Yasnoye village outside Dokuchayevsk and Mikhaillovka, Golmovskiy, Zaitsevo, Ozeryanovka and Zheleznaya Balka villages outside Gorlovka. In Roty village, 15 kilometers from the contact line, DPR intelligence revealed six Ukrainian Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers.
On south axis, Sakhanka, Leninskoye and Sosnovskoye village in Novoazovskiy district came under Ukrainian forces fire. In Kiev-controlled Trudovskoye (13 km from the contact line) and Kalchik (19 km from the contact line), DPR intelligence spotted three 122mm self-propelled howitzers, nine truckloads of munitions and six Grad MLRS.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian forces shelled eight DPR frontline areas with artillery and tank guns on Sunday evening. *jk
