Donetsk, Oct 24 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces redeployed up to 40 Polish mercenaries and almost 100 extremist fighters of Pravyi Sector  (Right Sector, a far-right Ukrainian nationalist political and paramilitary group of neofascist ideology) to Shirokaya Balka township north-west of Gorlovka, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin.

"Up to 40 polish mercenaries arrived in Shirokaya Balka township on two trucks. Up to 100 Pravyi Sector fighters were spotted in Verkhnetoretskoye village 4 km from the contact line," he said.

Basurin noted that fighters are quartered in residential houses despite the locals' protests.

Earlier in the day the deputy commander reported that Ukrainian armed forces redeployed heavy artillery to Nature Reserve Kleban-Byk, and relocated tanks, artillery systems and mortars to the vicinity Gorlovka and Donetsk.
