Donetsk, Oct 20 – DAN. Ukrainian forces have shelled Donetsk outskirts, Yasinovataya and DPR south areas with 378 artillery and mortar rounds overnight, a DPR defence sourse told DAN.
"From 7 p.m. to 1.30 a.m. Ukrainian side shelled with 122mm artillery, 82mm and 120mm mortars Trudovskiye, Aleksandrovka and Staromikhailovka west of Donetsk, Spartak village north of Donetsk, Yasinovataya outskirts including the industrial area, Oktyabr village of Novoazovkiy district", the interlocutor said. "Overall 378 artillery and mortar rounds were fired."
The source said that Kiev forces also used infantry fighting vehicles cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.
The information on casualties and damage is specified.
Earlier deputy commander of DPR Operations Command reported dramatic escalation along the line of contact. Kiev forces shelled DPR frontline territories more than 600 times the previous day.
