Donetsk, Dec 12 – DAN. Ukrainian forces reinforced their positions on the south axis with howitzers and self-propelled artillery pieces, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Colonel Eduard Basurin.

"Our intelligence keeps recording Ukrainian armed forces reinforcement of their positions," he said.

In Novotroitzkoye area (6km from the contact line, Mariupol axis) four 152mm Akatsia self-propelled howitzers were spotted, in Melekino area (35 km from the contact line) – six 122mm towed D-30 howitzers.

Four 122mm Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were deployed to Mariupol outskirts, 10 self-propelled 152mm Akatsia howitzers, eight 152mm towed howitzers Giatsint-B and nine D-30 howitzers were deployed to Rybatskoye area (30 km from the contact line).

All data on the violations of the Minsk Agreements were reported to the JCCC and OSCE SMM officers.

The situation has become tenser in DPR south.

Earlier in the day six TV crews of Russian and DPR TC channels came under fire in Sakhanka, where a school was partially damaged the previous day.
DPR intelligence reports Kiev’s regular deployment of military equipment to the conflict zone. Under The Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements signed by the Contact Group on February 12, 2015, the sides have to withdraw their artillery systems of 100 mm calibre or more to a distance of 50 kilometres apart from each other, multiple launch rocket systems Tornado, Uragan and Smerch to a distance of 70 kilometres and Tactical Missile Systems Tochka to a distance of 140 kilometres.
