Donetsk, Oct 18 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces have launched offensive on DPR south axis in vicinity of Leninskoye village, simultaneously targeting Sakhanka with artillery (both villages are in Novoazovskiy district).
"Today, after artillery and mortar preparation enemy’s units up to one company attempted again to attack our positions at 8 a.m. The fighting is ongoing, the enemy sustains casualties, five Ukrainian servicemen killed, 10 wounded," DPR Operations Command told journalists.
While Novoazovskiy district administration reports that Sakhanka, situated in the vicinity of Leninskoye, was hit with mortar fire.
"Sakhanka is targeted since 8 a.m. with mortars and small arms," Novoazovskiy district administration head Anatoliy Yanovskiy told DAN.
Information on casualties and damage is to be specified.
