Donetsk, Jun 1 — DAN. The DPR People’s Militia has established control of a highway in the vicinity of Avdeyevka, cutting off Ukrainian forces holed up in the town from a supply route, the Defence’s press service said.
«DPR forces have taken a stretch of a highway under control, cutting the Ukrainian garrison in Avdeyevka off from one of the two existing supply routes,» the report reads.
The Donetsk — Avdeyevka — Konstantinovka highway has been used by Ukrainian forces for years to supply their garrisons and for rotation.
The Defence also reported full control of Novosyolovka Vtoraya, a town on the highway to Konstantinovka. The enemy still controls some heights in the area and has failed several counteroffensive attempts.
The Ukrainian armed forces keep barraging the surrounding townships, there is hardly a single undamaged house left in the area.
Russia began its special military operation to defend the Republics pf Donbass on February 24. DPR forces have first liberated southern areas, and are currently liberating the north of the country. *ot
