Donetsk, Dec 1 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ‘school ceasefire’ 1,107 times in November, firing over 7,000 mortar and artillery rounds, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.

“Overall, 1,107 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces have been recorded in November,” Basurin said. “The enemy fired 7,085 artillery, tank guns and 120mm, 82mm mortar rounds.

The enemy targeted 22 frontline townships in DPR, damaging 51 households in Kievskiy district of Donetsk, Golmovskiy and Zaitsevo north of Gorlovka, Yasinovataya outskirts and Dokuchayevsk, and in southern townships.

The DPR Operations Command reported earlier that Kiev forces violated the ceasefire 167 times over the past week, expending 725 artillery, tank guns and mortar rounds.

The sides have agreed to the ‘school ceasefire’ as the new academic year was to begin in Donbass on September 1. It came into force at midnight August 25. It has not proved to be durable, thought in the first hours the security situation along the contact line stabilized. *ot
