Donetsk, Nov 3 – DAN. Ukrainian forces have shelled DPR frontline areas 402 times over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic has not changed in the past 24 hours,” Basurin said. "Ukrainian gunmen have broken the ceasefire 402 times, firing 22 artillery rounds (20 of them of 152mm calibre), and 260 120mm and 82 mm mortar rounds at DPR territory.”
Ukrainian army units also fired tank guns, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms, he added.
Donetsk’s Petrovsky district, Shirokaya Balka, Ozeryanovka and Zaitsevo villages outside Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Zhabichevo north of Donetsk and southern villages Leninskoye, Kominternovo and Sakhanka came under fire.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces fired 230 artillery,tank gun and mortar rounds at DPR frontline territory overnight, damaging four residential houses in western Donetsk and DPR south.
