Donetsk, Oct 27 – DAN. DPR called for an emergency Contact Group videoconference as Kiev shelling leaves at least two dead in Makeevka, seven injured.
"As the Follow-up to the Package of Measures stipulates, DPR initiated an emergency Contact Group videoconference to be held within 24 hours as Kiev shelled Makeevka and escalated the situation," DPR envoy to Minsk negotiations Denis Pushilin said.
At least two people were killed and seven injured as Ukrainian forces shelled Makeevka (Donetsk agglomeration), said Operations Command chief-of-staff Ruslan Yakubov.
The Defense Ministry reported seven residential houses damaged including apartment blocks.
"In Makeevka Kirovskiy district seven houses damaged, some with direct hits. Some residential blocks affected along Kokkinaki, Geroev Stalingradtsev streets and Gazetniy av.," the interlocutor said. The town was targeted with what is assessed to be 122mm and 152mm artillery and 120mm mortars.
