Donetsk, May 24 – DAN. The disengagement of forces and hardware in Stanitsa Luganskaya area is scheduled for May 28, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin’s press secretary Viktoria Talakina.

"Special attention has been paid to the disengagement of forces and hardware in Stanitsa Luganskaya area. The issue has been discussed for half a year, but Ukraine has repeatedly sabotaged the process. At today's meeting the understanding was reached as of the disengagement at the remaining third pilot area on May 28."

She said DPR had no illusions as to the process, taking into consideration Ukraine's attitude.

LPR and DPR representatives at a meeting in Minsk on September, 21 initialed a framework agreement on pullback of forces in Donbass, which was also signed by representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE. The document provides for three disengagement areas around Zolotoye, Stanitsa Luganskaya and Petrovskoe (DPR territory). Heads of LPR and DPR Igor Plotnitskiy and Alexander Zakharchenko signed the agreement on September 22 and 23, respectively. Each pilot area forms a security zone two km wide and two km long. Disengagement has only been completed in Petrovskoye and Zolotoye. Over 40 attempts to disengage in Stanitsa Lugansksya area were disrupted by the Ukrainian side. *ot
