Donetsk, Nov 23 – DAN. DPR Prosecutor's General Office established a department for investigation into Ukrainian armed forces servicemen crimes in Donbass – Department for Investigation into crimes against peace and security of the humankind, according to the head of DPR Prosecutor's General Office Investigation Division Roman Belous.
"New department within Investigation Division was formed - Department for Investigation into crimes against peace and security of the humankind . It will flook into strikes carried out by Kiev forces."
Currently Investigation Division collects evidence to file criminal cases against Ukrainian servicemen responsible for shelling the Republic's territory.
DPR Head Aleksander Zakharchenko ordered to set up a special war crimes commission on May 30, 2016. It uncovers and records crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by Kiev forces in DPR territory. The evidence will be presented at international courts. The commission is also implementing a strategy to inform the international community about Ukrainian authorities’ war crimes and breaches of law.
In early October DPR Prosecutor General’s Office said it was preparing to bring criminal charges against Ukrainian commanders as accomplices to shelling the Republic’s territory
