Donetsk, Nov 21 - DAN. DPR Operations Command has shown fragments of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle downed over Dokuchayevsk on Monday evening.
“During yesterday’s shelling of Dokuchayevsk, we succeeded in shooting down a Phantom 3 UAV used for fire adjustment by 1st mechanised battalion of Ukrainian army’s 28th separate mechanised brigade,” DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told reporters.
Earlier, DPR representatives at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported that the UAV flash drive recordings showed frontline positions of Ukrainian mortar sections and sheltered armoured vehicles.
On Monday evening, Ukrainian forces delivered strikes at Dokuchayevsk neighbourhoods damaging at least nine houses.
Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in 30km-wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum dated 19 September 2014, with the exception to OSCE SMM UAVs. Contrary to the agreement, Ukrainian forces regularly use UAVs for aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment. *jk
