Donetsk, Dec 13 – DAN. A bulk carrier delivered 1,500 tons of munitions to Ukrainian army, disguised as humanitarian cargo, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“Our intelligence spotted the arrival of the Amal Neptun bulk carrier in Mariupol port with a military cargo on board which includes mortar and artillery rounds. The total weight of “humanitarian supplies” makes some 1,500 tons,” Basurin said.
Earlier, he said Ukraine’s “peacekeeping and security centre” in Starichi village, Lvov region, received 1,325 rifles (including 375 sniper rifles), 509 machine guns, 350 pistols, 149 pump action guns and 158 underbarrel grenade launchers as part of “Partnership for Peace” programme based on technical agreement with U.S. Command in Europe. *jk
