Donetsk, Jun 26 — DAN. More than 700 librarians from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have completed a training course at the Russian National Library, the Russian Culture Ministry reported on Monday.
“The Russian National Library, supported by the Culture Ministry, has hosted a week of online seminars for 752 librarians from the new regions (420 from the DPR, 314 from the LPR and 18 from the Kherson region), ” a Ministry representative said.
The Russian National Library, one of the largest in the world, was founded in St Petersburg in 1795. Its original name is M.E.Saltykov-Shchedrin State Public Library. It keeps more than 33 million of books and documents and services some 1.5 million visitors every year.*jk
