Donetsk, Nov 22 — DAN. More than 30,000 Russian viewers have attended performances by Donetsk People’s Republic artists since the beginning of October, the DPR Culture Ministry press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“As of today, the attendance of Donbass artists’ shows has exceeded 30,000 which proves their high professionalism and Russian viewers’ interest, ” the press service said. “The ‘Big Visitor Tours’ and ‘We Are Russia’ programs enabled DPR groups to perform at major venues in Russia, stay fit and make the audience happy at the time when their stages are closed.”
Donetsk artists started the Big Tour within the scope of the above programs in October. Eight groups of DPR artists will tour 29 Russian regions to perform in 45 towns by yearend.
The trips were organized with the assistance of the Roskontsert Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture. Last spring, Roskontsert arranged Donetsk artists’ performances in 50 Russian towns.*jk
