Donetsk, Aug 9 – DAN. Ukrainian electronic warfare units have been interfering with the OSCE SMM UAVs operations, said the head of the DPR People's Militia command press service Daniil Bezsonov.

"Over the last week we have revealed multiple cases when electronic warfare mobile groups of the 305th and 20th batallions were employed. The SMM patrols had to abort their operations fearing that they might lose their UAVs."

In one of the incidents, the mission's UAV was not only jammed but engaged with firearms, as 75 bursts were fired at it.

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places.

Only the OSCE SMM is allowed to use UAVs in the vicinity of the contact line to monitor the security situations. *ot*pp
