Donetsk, Mar 2 - DAN. The Ukrainian representative in the Contact Group humanitarian subgroup unilaterally left the online talks on Tuesday, Donetsk People’s Republic ombudswoman, the Republic’s representative in the humanitarian subgroup Darya Morozova said.

“From the very beginning of the conference, Kiev representative (Galina Tretyakova - eds Donetsk News Agency) stuck to an absolutely undiplomatic line of behaviour violating the established session procedure. Responding to criticism on this account, she made a number of clearly insulting remarks regarding the Republics and the Russian Federation which is a Minsk process mediator. Then she unilaterally left the talks thus sabotaging the discussion of key issues of the humanitarian agenda,” Morozova said.

Such behaviour looks particularly cynical against the background of the contact line situation in Donbass, she said.

“If Ukraine is really interested in a peaceful settlement of the conflict, it is logical at present to make the best use of the negotiating instruments. At least, Kiev should have ushered into its delegation the representatives who have time and wish to work. The current setup however only allows to draw one conclusion: either Ukraine has no more experts of proper level or the Ukrainian leadership deliberately blocks the Minsk process,” the ombudswoman said.

Earlier reports on Tuesday said that the humanitarian and political subgroups on Donbass began talks via videoconference.*jk
