Donetsk, Sep 11 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces have deployed two tank companies and a platoon of British mercenaries to Kiev-controlled Krasnogorovka, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin.

"In the vicinity of Krasnogorovka up to two tank companies have been spotted arriving. Up to a platoon of British mercenaries has been observed there as well, arriving to the positions of the 46th special task battalion of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade," he said.

DPR intelligence also reported the 3rd Ukrainian special task regiment redeployed to the contact line in Donbass. The regiment's members are armed with 10.2mm and 12.7mm calibe rifles of the NATO standard with extended fire range up to two km.

"The mercenaries are taking photos openly, discuss the training in the Ukrainian armed forces on social networks, give interviews to Ukrainian TV channels. Kiev authorities believe that the British presence will have positive effect on personnel's morale."

DPR intelligence reports Kiev’s regular deployment of military equipment to the conflict zone. Under The Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements signed by the Contact Group on February 12, 2015, the sides have to withdraw their artillery systems of 100 mm caliber or more to a distance of 50 kilometers apart from each other, multiple launch rocket systems Tornado, Uragan and Smerch to a distance of 70 kilometers and Tactical Missile Systems Tochka to a distance of 140 kilometers. The Attachment to the Minsk Agreements signed in September provides for the parties’ withdrawal of their artillery systems of a caliber less than 100 mm, as well as tanks and mortars. Despite the accords, Ukraine regularly shells DPR areas.*ot
