DPR's Ombudswoman Daria Morozova has called on international organizations to respond to the injury of two children in Horlivka.

“Following these crimes, I sent official appeals to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, UNICEF and the International Committee of the Red Cross calling to respond to this incident to prevent similar crimes in the future,” Morozova said in a statement published on her official website.

Ukrainian troops violated the requirements of international humanitarian law, which bans attacks on civilians and indiscriminate attacks. In addition, the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces directly violate the norms of the Geneva Convention p. З, item 1 dated August 12, 1949 on the protection of civilians during the war.

A nine-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl sustained injuries as a result of the barrage of Gorlovka on August 28. The DPR Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal case under the article "terrorist attack" following the shelling. *ot
