Donetsk, Feb 5 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Industry and Trade Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement to look for new markets in former Soviet republics, Industry and Trade Minister Eduard Armatov said.

“This agreement will help us find new destinations in CIS states, present our quality products and establish contact with CIS chambers of commerce and industry,” Armatov said.

Domestically produced goods can be competitive in the CIS market, he added.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairwoman Valeria Bulyga shared his opinion. “Broader contacts with the chamber of commerce and industry of Russia and CIS states will contribute to the competitiveness of DPR businesses,” Bulyga said. “The DPR product segment in the Russian market can and should grow.”

“We’re confident that this agreement will have a positive impact on boosting our Republic’s export potential,” she said.

Earlier, DPR Head Denis Pushilin repeatedly stated that the DPR had to develop entrepreneurship and integrate into the Russian economic space.*jk
