Donetsk, Jul 8 – DAN. DPR will pass information on Ukrainian violations of border crossing agreements to international organizations, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.
DPR resumed the operation of the Elenovka crossing point in both directions for one day. Travellers were garneted entrance to the DPR on the basis of clearance lists.
Ukraine violated the agreements concerning crossing the contact line previously achieved at the Minsk talks by allowing through the checkpoint a number of people who were not on the clearance lists; 49 people crossed the border towards the DPR and stuck in the grey zone in the heat. Donetsk had to accept the people and put them under a medical observation.
"There is no understanding on how humanitarian corridors will be organized in future. We shall address international organizations in any case to prevent such situations in future. We shall discuss the issue at the Minsk talks," Morozova said.
The mechanism of crossing the contact line was agreed to by the sides at the talks on June 23.
To enter the DPR, travelers must be granted clearance from the HQ; for exit they must have a registration in Ukraine.
Travelers entering the Republic are subject to a 14-day quarantine.
Yelenovka crossing point will be open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on July 7, the schedule for the following days will be announced later.
The DPR suspended the operation of crossing points on the contact line in March to prevent the import of the coronavirus infection. The Yelenovka crossing point reopened for exiting the DPR on June 22 and for entering the DPR on June 25. Its operation was suspended again on June 28.*ot
