Donetsk, Nov 22 – DAN. A meeting of DPR and Syrian businessmen is expected to take place before the year-end, the director of the department for industries of the DPR Ministry of Industry and Trade Sergey Vlasov said.
The DPR delegation visited Syria on September 29 - October 2 to participate in the Re-build Syria Exhibition 2021 exhibition in Damascus.
In addition, the representatives of the Republic held a meeting with the leadership of the Syrian Ba'ath ruling party and has talks with the deputy chairman of Russia's Council of Ministers and permanent representative of Crimea Georgiy Muradov.
"The perspectives are impressive, but we are still to decide on detailed cooperation. Such business deals are not usually decided after the first or the second trip. This time the negotiations were held at the governmental level, and we hope to organize a meeting of businessmen, hopefully this year, to connect DPR and Syrian businesses, so that they sign certain contracts on particular terms and embark on direct cooperation," Vlasov said.
He said that the current legislations provide opportunities for DPR-Syria business interaction. *ot
