Donetsk, Jun 11 - DAN. Ukrainian forces are preparing an assassination of EU delegation members planning to visit Donbass on June 13-15, 2018, the Donetsk People’s Republic State Security Ministry press service said on Monday.
“The DPR State Security Ministry has received intelligence that Ukrainian forces are preparing an armed provocation against the delegation of the EU Political and Security Committee which plans to visit Kiev and frontline Donbass areas at the invitation of (Ukrainian President) Petr Poroshenko in the period from June 13 till June 15, 2018,” the press service said.
The ministry said that to accomplish this objective, Ukrainian secret services retrieved a Soviet-made Igla shoulder fired anti-aircraft missile from a munition depot of the Ukrainian armed forces’ 95th separate air assault brigade 2nd battalion in the village of Verkhnetoretskoye outside Yasinovataya. They plan to use the equipment to down the helicopter carrying the EU delegation and accuse the Donbass Republics of the attack.*jk
