DPR Head Zakharchenko congratulates Pasechnik on assuming LPR acting head position

Donetsk, Nov 24 – DAN. The DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko has congratulated the LPR acting Head Leonid Pasechnik on assumption of the office.

"Leonid Ivanovich, I congratulate you on the assumption of the office of acting Head of the Lugansk People's Republic! It is not an easy task in the circumstances of war and economic blockade, but I am sure you shall cope with it with honor. I am also sure that together we shall effectively withstand Kiev's aggression and build peaceful life," Zakharchenko said.

Earlier on Friday Igor Plotnitskiy resigned from the position of the LPR Head for health reasons. The security minister of the LPR announced he was taking over power from Plotnitskiy until forthcoming elections. The ex-leader was appointed authorized representative of the LPR to implement the Minsk Agreements. *ot
