Donetsk, Jun 27 – DAN. The DPR State Security Ministry (MGB) has broken up a terrorist cell of the Muslim Brotherhood, which has been added to the terror lists of Russia and the Republic.
"The MGB has curbed the activity of a pseudo-religious Muslim terrorist group the leadership of witch was promoting the ideology of an international terror group Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimin)," the MGB said.
The cell was based in the Kalininskiy district of Donetsk on Berestovskaya street 2 and was distributing radical literature.
The Ministry said the cell used the DUMU-Ummahand and Alraid organizations established in Ukraine to communicate with their curators from the Muslim Brotherhood.
"In the course of security check on the premises of the organization, materials recognized as radical in Russia and a number of other countries have been found, such as copies of the book Fortress Of The Muslim by Saeed Bin Ali Bin Wahf Al-Qahtani, and The Last Voyage published by the Alraid. Other materials aimed at inciting enmity or hatred on the basis of religion have also been obtained.
The investigation and search operations involving the cell's leadership are ongoing. *ot
