Donetsk, Oct 14 – DAN Kiev forces shelled Bezymennoye village, where the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) observation post is located, with mortars, a DPR Ministry of Defense representative told DAN news agency.
"The previous night at 9.15 p.m. Ukrainian side started shelling Bezymennoye village where a JCCC observation post is located. The JCCC officers had to take cover in a bomb shelter immediately," the source said.
He added that both Russian and Ukrainian representatives in the JCCC were present at the observation post, it was shelled with what is accessed to be 120mm mortar rounds.
In previous months JCCC officers have come under fire from Ukrainian side on a number of occasions, most often in Yasinovataya area.
It was reported earlier that the previous night Ukrainian forces heavily shelled southern DPR villages and western Donetsk suburbs. A total of 225 artillery 152mm and 122mm rounds and 82mm and 120mm mortar rounds were fired.
