Donetsk, Nov 22 – DAN. DPR has embarked on de-installation of fortifications in the Petrovskoye disengagement area, DAN correspondents says.

The dismantling operation also includes the removal of non-explosive barriers in the DMZ zone.
Members of the SMM and the DPR Mission to the JCCC are monitoring the process. In case Ukraine acts mirror-like the disengagement should be fully completed on December 4.

DPR Emergencies Ministry carried out the demining of the area on November 13-19. The next day Donetsk informed the OSCE SMM on completing the mine clearance phase and the readiness to begin de-installation.

Petrovskoye is located 40km south of Donetsk. It is one of three pilot disengagement areas. The sides carried out the disengagement in 2016 for the first time but Ukrainian units soon infiltrated back. Complete withdrawal of forces finally took place on November 11, 2019. *ot
