Donetsk, Apr 9 – DAN. The DPR delegation visited Syria on April 4-8, the Republic's Foreign Ministry said.
DPR Minister of Finance Yana Chausova, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Peresada, Deputy Head of the DPR Head Administration Gennadiy Lebed, DPR Head Advisor Andrey Kramar, Head of the Donetsk Republic social movement Central Executive Committee Alexey Muratov and others participated in a number of official events in Syria.
The sides discussed the cooperation between the states at the negotiations with one of the Arab Socialist Baʽath Party leaders, Dr. Mahdi Dakhlallah, on April 4. The next day, DPR representatives met students of the Baʽath staff training school.
On April 7, the Conference on Investment and Partnership organized by the Al Majd Company discussed prospects of businesses between the countries.
DPR reps also met Patriarch John X, primate of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All The East, and the Grand Mufti of Syria Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun.
"A number of agreements on mutual projects development have been achieved," the DPR Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier, DPR and Syria discussed opening of a permanent trade mission of the Donbass Republic in the Arab country. *ot
